On the actual day of the wedding, everyone can’t get to sleep as we were too excited about it. We had to get ready by 3am in the morning and set off to my brother’s house for preparation and we were going to spend a night at the hotel.

Once we had reached my brother’s house, my mum started to prepare hot drinks and breakfast for his groomsmen and my cousin was busy helping out with the food.

Mum was busy making hot coco

My brother was getting ready to set off to the bridal’s house. Dressing in white so that he can look liked price charming.

The wedding car was here on time and waiting downstairs for my brother. A pink London cab for wedding, wasn’t it a unique and special. The flowers for the wedding car was picked by me, didn’t expect that its match the pink London cab so well.

The groomsmen were busy tieing the decorate onto the cars.

Before set off the bride’s house, the groom gave a briefing to all his groomsmen and making sure everything was according to plan.

After sending my brother off, we had to rush back to change the comforter set

We were instructed by bride’s mum to place all the jewellery given by bride’s family and relative on the bed. Don’t ask me “WHY” as I really don’t know the reason behind it. We were just taking instruction.

Didn’t take much photo as I was too tired after the morning session, didn’t really enjoy myself about it as before we set off to hotel, I was rebuke by my brother for things which I didn’t do. We were lost on our way to the hotel and my brother grab hold of this chance and starting to reprimand me again. Lucky, we managed to find way to the hotel by ourselves. Things didn’t turn up good before the wedding dinner start as my father was damn angry with the timing of my mother, my aunt and my make up. Our make up session started at 6 pm and we had to be at the ballroom latest by 7.20pm to welcome the guests as the wedding dinner started at 8pm. My father scolded us fiercely about it and he didn’t want to attend the wedding dinner anymore. As he told us that we were the hosts and should be there early to welcome the guests and not the other way round. My mum and I had to claim him down and talked to him nicely before he agreed to go for the wedding dinner. So many things happened in a day, so tired.

Before the actual day of the wedding

We had been busying preparing for my brother’s wedding which was held in 16 January 2010 in Singapore. My family had started to prepare everything since 1 year ago, starting from finding out the traditional custom ceremony to tailor made of each family members’ clothing. We went around to ask our relative and friends about the traditional ceremony and there were so many things that we had to follow in order for a blissful marriage.

Busy buying fashion magazine and browsing through the website to look for design for our tailor made clothing. Getting the ideal design for everyone was not an easy job as everyone had their own style of dressing. Getting the fabric was another issue over here as there were not such choices for us to select and also having problem with tailor for delivery their promises. We had to call the tailor almost everyday to check on her work progress. A month before the wedding, the tailor called us and telling us that she cant finish making all the design and end up my mum had to buy ready made dress.

Lucky, everywhere was having year end sale and we can grab hold of this chances to buy matching accessories at a lower prices. Shopping was really great and satisfied when came home with lot of goodies

Year End Sale

Everywhere was having sale and packed with people. SALE.... SALE....

Parkson Grand located in Johor is having warehouse clearance sale till 3rd of Jan 2010, discount up to 80%. Haha, this is a very tempting promotion, my mum, cousin and I can’t resist it and went over to take a look. Akemi home items were having sale, most of the items were entitled 50%-70% discount. My mum is a fan of Akemi home items as she has been using their items for years and the she is very satisfied with their quality. We had bought a lot of items from them.

We can't use its now as all this items were prepared for chinese new year.

We bought a silk comforter set which was a best buy. Usual price for a set of silk comforter set is RM$960 but now we only had to pay RM$160 for it. Other than home items, we also bought shoes, bags, clothing and more....... At the end of the day, we realised that we had burnt a big hole in our pocket.

Recently, I had gone to my father’s friend’s (uncle Ah Li) son’s wedding dinner. As usual, we were there on time; we had to wait for at least an hour before the dinner start. Wedding couple had invited a lot of guests, roughly around 40++ tables of guests but not everyone turn up for the wedding dinner. For example, there were total only 4 persons at our table and we were serviced 10 person food portions. We can’t finish the food and we had to ask the aunty sitting next to me to take the left over home. This was the first time; we really enjoy ourselves at a wedding dinner and eating till full without caring much about table manners, hehe…hehe
