Just hope, hope…

There are too many things going on this period of time and its have affect my emotion badly. When I am looking at the people surround me, there are people who are always in joy but there are people who are in tear. Are we able to choose joy and tear? Most people will answer me, yes we can. Don’t deceive yourself, we know it very well that most of the time we left with no choice to it when things happened.

A lot of people will tell me that in life, there is always up and down just like roller caster and we have to learn to accept it. When negative things had happened, we try to minimize the impact of it but we still will fell emotion pain of it. Trying hard to hold our tear back but our soul is too fragile to take the blow and tears start rolling down. Letting go, is it the only solution to it which I keep questioning myself. I doubt myself whether I know the answer to it. When times pass by, everything will start to fade and things will get back in place and we will forget about it. Just hope, hope…. for a better outcome.

Sick.......

I think a lot of people just like my mum fall sick due to the unpredictable weather. Last week, the weather was unbearable, terrible hot as it went up to nearly 40 degrees Celsius and no sigh of raining to cool the weather. But there was a change in weather for the past few days, it started to showers with thunder and the temperature drop to 30 degree Celsius. I had checked the weather forcast for the next 3 days and it will be raining with thunder. My mum’s body cant adapt to the sudden change of the temperature and now she has a bad cold and cough. Having running nose, headache and body aching at the same time are really a torture for her. Let pray hard that she will recover soon.

Hong Bao AMULET

Yesterday, Guan Yin temple located at Victor Street was giving out Hong boa. The Hong Boa acted as amulet and it happened once in a year. The event took place in 26 of January of lunar calendar each year and the temple opened as early as 4am in the morning till 6pm for people to collect the Hong Boa. I decided to take a trip down to collect the Hong Boa, hoping it will help me to find a good career and also smooth sailing in everything I do.

The temple was crowded with people and police force was needed to maintain the crowd. I had to queue up for nearly 2 hours before I can enter the temple. An advice for people who planning to go and collect the Hong Boa for the next year:
1. Be care of your belonging as a lot of peoples’ wallets and mobile phones begin stolen.
2. During the queuing up, if u feels that you are not feeling well, pls ask for assistant.
3. Be patient and wait for your turn, safety come first, pls don’t push here and there.

Fortune god will give you a red packet after you make a donation. This red packet is different from the Hong Boa amulet

Pray at India Temple also as it is just next to Guan Yin Temple

Be care of birds dropping when you are heading towards the Guan Yin Temple.

Celebration of the year....

Yesterday was valentine day, it always a practice for Amy, Bing and me to meet up and celebrate the occasion together. Initially, we decided to meet up in Johor so we can go and sing karaoke but Amy had made up class and will only end at 5.30pm. By the time when she reaches Johor will be around 7.30pm and it quite late as Bing is Singaporean, she needs to travel back to Singapore. So our final decision is to meet in town area as it will be convenience for Amy and me to take bus back to Johor. I decided to travel to Singapore early in the morning as I am planning to go down to Chinatown to buy some materials. As usual can’t make it as on my way down, my family decided to stop by on roadside to look at the highlight of Chingay Parade performance.

Thi s photo was taken in the car when the parade heading towards open field.

HAHA…we loved to look at the performances as it is about 150-year old "Rou Fuo Gu Miao" in Jalan Trus. That's the oldest temple in Johor Bahru. There will be a lot of events going on through up the whole day before they are going for a 15-km parade around the city next day. Thousands of people in Johor Bharu from all walks of life, young and old will lined up in the streets to watch and participate in this event, which starts in the evening and ends after midnight. The Chingay parade adds to the festive atmosphere with stilt walkers, lion and dragon dances, acrobats, and dozens of decorated floats taking to the streets amidst the clashing of cymbals and beating of gongs and drums.

Photo that were taken a few years back when my whole family attending the event.

By the time I reached Singapore, it already noon. Met up Bing in Bugis and had quick lunch before we headed our way down to chinatown. We were happily shopping and lost track of time and poor Amy had to wait for us for dinner. So Sorry, my dear, Amy. We decided to have dinner at Saki Sushi and ask Amy to quene up for seats as it was valentine day, everywhere will pack with people. During dinner, Bing passed us valentine gifts that she prepared for us, so thoughtfully of her. THANK YOU, MUAK.

Present given by Bing Bing, she took the affect to wrap it up nicely.

Problem with internet services

This week I had problems connecting to the internet and this problem had occurred 3 times in a week. I made me piss off due to the same problem occurring. At the same time, I had difficulty to get help from the tmnet technical department as their phoneline always busy. I had been calling them for a few days and I still can’t get anyone to attend me. Finally on the third day of my trying, thank god, someone pick up my call and solve my problems. I asked the technician what was the actual problem with my connection as I always failed to get connected. To prevent the same problems occurring, I should always disconnect my internet services before I shut down my notebook. This time round, I will bear this isssue in mind and try not to let it happened again.

Pangerang....here we come

We had heard so much how cheap the seafood is selling at Pangerang. We planned to go there to eat seafood after collecting our car back from the mechanic.

Yesterday, we set off early to Pangerang as this was the first time we travel there. It was very far journey from my home to Pangerang. It took us nearly 3 hours to reach there due to heavy traffic flow. We reached there around 5pm and wonder around for sight view. The life there was slow and easy, more towards to village life. Good place for relax, Singaporean can travel ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to Pangerang and those who like to go there can check up on Sebana resort.

We went to restaurant “Good Luck” for dinner as this place was recommended by my father’s friend so we decided to give it a try. We had ordered a lot of seafood, 5 out of 7 dishes were seafood and the total price was RM$259 for 6paxs. Hmn, I think the price was cheaper when comparing to restaurants selling seafood in Johor Bahru.

After dinner, we went to temples for praying and don't dare to wonder around as it getting dark. The journey back home was long and had to pass by lot of places without lamp posts.

An advise for people who want to travel there by cars, if possible don't travel there at night as is vey dark on your way.

Sunset taken when travelling in the car.

Grandma's death anniversary

Seventh day of Lunar New Year is 'Ren Zi' which mean birthday for everyone and at the same time it was my maternal grandma death anniversary. A lot of my relatives and friends of Ah Ma will come over to my cousin’s house for praying and have lunch together; roughly, there will be 30 people. My cousin had to prepared all the dishes and offerings in a day advance. This is a time for catch up with each other and also bringing the bond closer.

Catching up with each other while folding joss paper. By the way, the maid wasn't Buddhist but she did a great job in folding the joss paper.

Taking turn to burn the joss paper. Beginning with the eldest to the youngest,be careful, guys.

After all the praying, it was time for big feast. Yummy....enjoyed the food prepared by my cousin.
