Reunion

It is a practice for Chinese to eat reunion dinner together with the whole family. Each year, I was in charge of preparing the steamboat for it. Preparing the dishes for steamboat was fast and easily but the difficult part was preparing the soup base. In order to have a nice and thick soup base, a lot of ingredients are needed to add together and boil over for at least 2 hours. I am too lazy to do that so I used chicken stock cubes and soup of canned seafood for my soup base. The outcome of it still not bad, just slightly too salty, maybe I should use only 1 cube instead of 2.
